PIT BULL CULTUREI've always loved silent film comedies. Everything from Laurel & Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Hal Roach, Keystone Cops, and yes of course The Little Rascals or Our Gang. I've got books upon books on the subject and watch them endlessly. So it should come as no surprise that I decided to name the little group of ours after one of the most enduring groups from that period. It just made sense seeing as how one of the main members of that group was in fact an American Staffordshire Terrier!

One of the greatest parts of those films was the groups love and companionship of their dog Petey. Now there was more than one dog that took up the mantle of the trusty friend in all those shorts and films but it was always filled by a Pit Bull type dog. This even includes the 1994 major motion picture update of the classic characters.

See Petey has always been a trusty sidekick to the kids of the Our Gang comedies. So it's because of that devotion the inspiration for The Little Rascals Pit Club was born.
